This machine is very energy efficient, the specific power is very lower then reciprocating & centrifugal air compressor. silent features of Energy Efficient Turbo Compressors.
The major strengths of these compressors are :-
1. Energy savings of 30% to 50 % against exiting compressors.
2. Permanent magnet motor, which can be started & stopped any number of times per hour.
3. No- extra cost of V F D or Soft Starter as VFD is included in the scope of compressor supply.
4. Air cooled machine.
5. Flow capacity measured at the outlet of the machine & displayed on-line.
6. 100% Oil Free Air , as no lubricant used not even for bearings.
7. Capacity control from 100 % to 50 % with corresponding reduction in power .
8. Unload power Maximum up to 2% of full load power
(Whereas for any centrifugal compressor, unload power is 30-35 % )
9. Payback on investment is very fast with high energy saving & low maintenance cost.
10. Direct drive, No Gear box or pulleys.

1.2 EXITING COMPRESSORS.
Conventional compressors, have serious problems such as high levels of power consumption , cooling tower, noise , vibration and frequent oil Leakage ( Lubricant oil) deteriorating the work environment in the field. Above all, they have very poor system efficiency.
1.3 PROPOSED K TURBO:-
We recommend installing K Turbo compressors of suitable models for your application of flow & pressure.
The proposed models of K Turbo Compressors will maintain constant pressure as per air systems variable flow requirement.
Normal pressure requirement can be set on the HMI touch screen display of microprocessor controller & whenever lower or higher pressure is required, the same can be set on the HMI touch screen display accordingly.
1.4 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
K Turbo Compressors employ the high precision machined cast impellers, hydrodynamic air foil bearings
( air Lubricated), highly Efficient Permanent Magnet motors and sensor-less Invertor drives , which eliminate the complicated gear trains or pulley & belt to provide considerable energy savings without much scheduled maintenance and with very low level of noise.
The operation mode can be selected from touch screen HMI such as
- Constant Current
- Constant Pressure
- Constant Volumetric Flow
- Constant Oxygen ( Dissolved Oxygen Control)
Brief information on the core components is as below
2.1 PERMANENT MAGNET MOTOR :-
The K TURBO Compressor uses Permanent Magnet Motor which has very high efficiency over conventional induction motors.
No magnetizing power is necessary; since the rotor of the motor has built in permanent magnet, the power is required only to rotate the shaft.
Smaller rotor means less Friction loss; with the rotor being specifically designed to rotate at high speed, the size of the rotor is small. Also the rotor being made of titanium & inconel alloy is lighter in weight. Because of these two factors the twisting torque is comparatively very small.
Lower heat generation means less cooling loss: The high electric grade material & high rotating speed produce less heat & hence cooling energy required is comparatively lower.
No slip means high efficiency even at part load condition: PM Motor is a synchronous motor, which has no slip & hence power factor is high. The efficiency is consistently maintained more than 95 % from full load to partial load conditions.
2.2. PRODUCT FEATURES
Available in standard configuration & all in air cooled type; hence cooling water is not required.
Power Supply selectable from : 380 v/ 440 v/ 480 v / 575 v Ac ,3 Phase , 50 Hz.
Low starting current ( Below 10 % of full load rated value)
High efficiency PM motor > 95 % & high efficiency sensor-less invertor > 97%.
High over all efficiency of K turbo Compressors 70 % as compared to PD compressors having efficiency of 35 % to 45 %
at full load. At partial load , the overall efficiency of KTURBO Compressor is 67 % as against 25 % as that of PD
Compressors.
Uses HMI with touch screen display for user-friendly operation.
Absolutely oil-free as there is no oil lubricant required for bearings, air chamber & there is no gear box. This helps in maintaining good quality of the product when air from compressor comes in direct contact with the material.
Low noise below 85 db provides quiet operation.
Since the vibration is @ 1 mm / sec, installation does not need anti-vibration pads.
Built- in Flow meters for on-line flow measurement & display.
AIR FOIL BEARINGS
Air bearings have advantages over conventional ball or mechanical bearings in that the shaft does not come in any physical contacts , which means that no lubricant oils are required, there are no mechanical energy losses and there are no abrasions caused by physical contacts while the shaft is in motion. The shaft of the motor is suspended in air since the shape of the shaft transforms kinetic energy into pressure energy while the shaft is spinning. This extraordinary design eliminates the need to pumps since it can self-levitate. This increases energy efficiency.
